The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Prince Uche Secondus, has alleged that the voter register contain over 1,050,051 dead people who are expected to vote during Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections.

Secondus disclosed this at the National Executive Committee meeting of the PDP in Abuja on Tuesday.

He claimed  that the voter register was being manipulated, accusing the Independent National Electoral Commission of failing to effectively scrutinise the voter register before publishing it.

“A sick narrative has emerged, one of systemic and systematic rigging, the manipulation of the true record of the voter register and a cabal you can no longer trust with the trajectory and growth of our democracy and nation,” Secondus said.

“This is the evidence of bad faith by those managing the elections and the government of the day:

“There has been a coordinated approach to register foreigners, mainly from Niger and Cameroon, as voters. That is why INEC has established so many polling units along the borders with Cameroon and Niger.”
