Former Manchester United skipper and England star, Wayne Rooney has marveled football fans around the world after scoring from an unusual range yesterday when his new team, DC United clashed with another Major League Soccer Side, Orlando City in the United States.
The Forward attempted the long-range effort from over 6o yards away from goal and was still able to beat Brian Rowe, Orlando City’s keeper who was out of position and had not expected the strike.
It only took the England national a 2-second glance at the goal post before he whipped a thunderous shot just before the midway point of the pitch.
Although Rooney has scored many screamers in his footballing career, the latest one seem to be his best yet and fans have commended the effort.
In the end, the goal was the only thing that separated the two sides as the match ended at 1 goal to nil.
