President Muhammadu Buhari who returned to the country last week after 51 days in the United Kingdom on an extended medical leave has revealed that he is indebted to Nigerians.

The president who resumed office officially on Monday revealed that he will not rest until he addressed issues affecting all Nigerians.

Buhari made this known while speaking at a meeting with the Nigeria Governors Forum yesterday.

Buhari who ordered the Finance Minister, Kemi Adeosun and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Godwin Emefiele to speedily release the second tranche of the London-Paris Club refunds to state govenors in order to facilitate salary payment in their states said: “I have directed the Finance Minister and CBN Governor to speedily release the 2nd tranche of the London-Paris Club refunds to the States.”

He continued: “My promise to Nigerians is that I will not rest until I address all the issues that affect you. One of these basic things is salaries. It is most important that workers are able to feed their families, and pay rent and school fees. Extremely important.

“As I’ve said before,pursuing the interest of the Nigerian people is the only way to show my gratitude for the love & support I’ve been shown.”
