Barcelona captain, Andres Iniesta has admitted the team “lost control” after squandering a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 against Deportivo La Coruna in their week 15 La Liga game played on Saturday afternoon.

The league champions equally drew their last league game against Valencia last weekend and their last group game of the UEFA Champions League against German side, Bayer Leverkusen during the week.

The team prepares to head to Morocco for the FIFA Club World Cup in the absence of man of the moment, Neymar, as pundits are already mouthing suggestions of a dip in form, and questioning the ability of the Catalan giants to win the competition.

Speaking after the game, Iniesta said: “The end is unexplainable, we lost control when we needed it and facilitated the opposition,” he told Canal Plus.

“These things happen, we analyse it so that it doesn’t happen again. The last two weeks we’ve lost four points, which makes things tighter.

“Now we change mindset because we are playing for a title and have to think of what’s next.

“We had a 2-0 lead, the match was good. We lost the control we had throughout the match and two points escaped us.”
