The National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dayo Israel says the youths under his leadership will not be used as thugs in the 2023 general election.
He stated this in an address at the Iftar dinner organised for 2023 presidential aspirants by the First Lady, Aisha Buhari, at Old Banquet Hall, State House, Abuja last weekend.
Israel reminded the leaders at the dinner that they were holding power in trust for the following generation.
“Ladies and gentlemen, my fathers and mothers, the destiny of Nigeria is largely in the hands of everybody in this room, from the leaders of government to those aspiring to lead our great nation.
‘But we must remember that we hold that position in trust for my generation that is coming,” he said.
He said that it would be “crimes against humanity” for the present generation not to set the nation on a path of greatness for the benefit of the succeeding generation.
