We Spent N100m On Dino Melaye’s Recall – INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said it spent N100 million on the process to recall the senator representing Kogi West senatorial district in the National Assembly.

The Chairman of the commission, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, said this on Friday at a press conference.

He described as false the insinuations that the commission expended N100 billion on the process, which held last Saturday.

“A recall exercise is just like conducting a Senatorial election. The Kogi-West which Melaye represents has 552 polling units and seven local governments,” Yakubu said.
