The case was struck out by Justice Olusola Williams of the Special Offences Court

In a case involving alleged fraud involving Mr. Chukwuma and GT Bank whom he claimed he had the authority to clear certain goods, the EFCC has so far been unable to produce the defendant to appear in court.

Striking out the case due to the failure of the defendant to appear, Justice Williams said; “This court is not an investigator or a prosecutor. This court cannot waste precious judicial time prosecuting a matter that is going nowhere.

“This is a criminal matter that can be instituted anytime the prosecution is ready. The court hereby strikes out the matter,”

The EFCC had on several occasions tried to secure the attendance of the Innoson boss before the court but had failed on every attempt even after he was declared wanted and a bench warrant had been issued against him.
