Modele, the wife of embattled Founder and Senior Pastor of COZA, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, has said she could not be friends with anyone that does not celebrate her husband.
She said this during today’s Sunday service at the church’s headquarters in Guzape, Abuja, amidst the rape controversy involving her husband and ace photographer, Busola Dakolo.
Dakolo, who is the wife of popular soul singer, Timi Dakolo, alleged that Fatoyinbo raped her when she was 16 in 2000.
Fatoyinbo however denied the accusation, vowing to institute a defamation suit against the mother of three.
However, Modele, who has expressed support for her husband, urged the church’s members to celebrate him.
She said her husband remained the “father” of all the church’s branches despite the accusations.

According to her, she would never have been speaking to a large crowd like in COZA if her husband had not helped her overcome her shyness.
Modele noted that such a man deserved to be celebrated.
She said, “One of the things that I say about my husband is that I would have never had the opportunity — I used to be so shy to talk to one person. I used to let him do all the talking because I was a very introverted person.
“But he was able to help me see, like he was able to help a lot of us see, that there was greatness in me.
“So, I don’t have a problem standing before you this morning. The Lagos church, the Ilorin church, the Port Harcourt church — anywhere he is, Pastor Biodun is the father of that church.
“I’m not your friend if you don’t celebrate this man.”
COZA has branches in Lagos, Rivers, Kwara and Dubai, with the headquarters located in the Federal Capital Territory.
