‘White man’ driving against traffic crushes Nigerian lady’s leg in Lagos (Graphic Photos)

A lady identified simply as Omotola has undergone surgery at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) to fix up her leg ruined when a hit-and-run driver slammed her against a wall in the Victoria Island area of Lagos, The Herald can report.

A Twitter user, @wellzpapi, who shared details of the incident, said that an unidentified “white man” was the hit-and-run driver.

He said that the “white man” was driving against “one-way” traffic at a high speed when the incident occurred on Sanusi Fafunwa Street, Victoria Island on Wednesday.

“The man was driving on a one way road, against traffic and on was on high speed around Sanusi Fafunwa Street, Victoria Island.

“People had to run helter-skelter for their lives.

“The driver then drove into Omotola and pushed her against the wall. The impact was so much that the plate number fell off.

“The driver did a hit and run, he absconded instead of waiting to care. A passer bye took a bike and chased after him.

“He was caught, brought back and handed over to the police.

“Omotola is in critical condition at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital.

“We seek justice for Omotola and this white man should not be released.”
