A man with Twitter handle @VictorSimi5 has threatened to commit suicide by jumping into the Lagos Lagoon if his living condition does not improve soon.

The Twitter user, who did not state his name or age, only that he was born on December 6, joined the app in October 2015.

According to a story of his life he shared on Twitter, he has been left with no one to take care of him after his mother died immediately after giving birth to him, his father when he was just six years old, and his grandmother, who had taken him in, right after he completed his secondary school education.

He said he has been living from hand to mouth since then, with many people around avoiding him because they did not want not to be responsible for his upkeep.
