The Minister of Communication, Barr. Adebayo Shittu, has vowed to work against the 2019 governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Adebayo Adelabu.
He also said that the ruling party would never know peace until the injustice done in denying him a shot at the gubernatorial ticket was restituted.
Shittu said these after appearing before the South West Zonal Peace and Reconciliation Committee set up by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.
The Adams Oshiomhole-led NWC had set up the committee for each of the six geopolitical zones to reconcile aggrieved members ahead of the general elections.
Recall that Shittu was screened out as an aspirant in the party’s gubernatorial primaries in Oyo State purportedly over his failure to participate in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.
However, he accused the National Chairman of the party, Oshiomhole and Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi of orchestrating the plot to exclude him from the primaries.
Shittu joins the likes of Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, who have vowed to work against the APC gubernatorial candidates in their respective states.
