A woman has been arrested by men of the Nigerian Police force on grounds that she contracted the services of professional assassins to murder her husband.
The woman who already has four children with the said man was arrested at her Lekki house in Lagos state after a confirme payment of N600,000 towards the alleged murder plan.
According to Police investigations, the N600,000 paid was a part payment with the promise to pay the balance fee of N400,000 when the job ws completed.
Speaking on the case, the Lagos state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni noted that the woman was among the 25 people arrested by the Police command.
However, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police refused to disclose the name of the woman. He stated that it would jeopardize the ongoing investigation into the case.
Owoseni further explained that the woman was arrested after one of the suspected assasins was picked up by men of the Nigerian Police.
Owoseni said: “He said that the woman paid him N600,000 to eliminate her husband. We are currently on the trail of the assassins,” Owoseni said.
