The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) hit a whole new level early Wednesday as the team loyal to Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State pulled out of the Atiku Presidential Campaign activities.

It was learnt that the Wike group took the decision to withdraw from the campaign after a stormy session in Port Harcourt, the Rivers capital.

The Wike group insisted on the resignation of National Chairman of the party, Senator Iyorchia Ayu as a condition for its members to partake in the campaign activities.

Recall that Atiku recently named Wike, who was second in the presidential primaries, in the 326-member campaign council.
