The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Adamu Mu’azu has said that it will pay back the All Progressives Congress (APC) back in its own coin for its conduct during the internal crisis that rocked the ruling party last year.
The APC leadership had capitalized on the internal crises of the PDP and disaffection amongst a lot of the Governors to poach 5 governors to the opposition party.
Mu’azu who spoke at the PDP National Secretariat during a working visit by the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Godswill Akpabio who led a delegation of PDP bigwigs to Abuja.
“We will soon show to the opposition they are master poachers, but they are going to teach us to poach and we will beat them at it, because when two members of your family fight, you should settle them and not for you to come and pitch one against the other, however if that is the game we will learn,”Mu’azu said.
“The world is dynamic, so is our manifesto and we will ensure that in each ward, local government, and state, by our development a foreigner will know we are PDP; as you drive along in this country, immediately you enter a PDP state, the difference will be clear.
“We appeal to you, the Akwa Ibom delegation to support and encourage the national leadership in its drive to reposition the party and succeed at this important trying period. I assure you with your collaborative effort and partners we will regain all our lost grounds and move forward.
“I will soon call for a conference that will involve all stakeholders for the party to address Nigerians on what the party stands for,” Mu’azu added.
Mu’azu also appealed to the defected Governors to rejoin the PDP.
