Wizkid included in Guinness book of Records 2018

27-year-old Nigerian singer and songwriter, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid has been included in next year’s edition of the Guinness book of records. This record was established courtesy of his contribution to Drake’s super single, One Dance.

The single made an astonishing record breaking number of streams on Spotify. As at April 13, 2017, “One Dance” by Drake had been listened to 1,182,920,493 times on the music streaming service, Spotify.

The track featured Wizkid and Kyle and appeared on the Drake Album, “Views”.

Photos showing Wizkid”s name in the latest edition of the Guinness book of record were shared on social media by @9ja_canadian.

 

He wrote: “Went grocery shopping today and came across the new 2018 “Guinness book of Records”. Guess whose name was on one of the pages? Yes! Wizkid!”

 

The Nigerian superstar released his latest album “Sounds from the other side” (SFTOS) two (2) months ago.

The album featured the likes of Drake, Major Lazer, Chris Brown, Ty Dollar Sign, Efya, Bucie and Trey Songz, its production was handled by Sarz, Del B, Spellz, Dre Skull, Dj Mustard, Major Lazer and Picard Brothers.

SFTOS debuted on the US Billboard top 200 at number 107 and also debuted at number 58 on Canadian Albums Chart.

The International act released a new single, Everytime; an afro beat collabo with American trap-rapper, Future. The track was produced by a Nigerian record producer, Shizzi.
