An Indian woman along with her 14-year-old cousin were reported to have been raped while two of their relatives were killed after they were accused of eating beef.
The 20-year-old Muslim reported that a gang of men attacked their home and beat her uncle and aunt to death before attacking her and her cousin.
The woman, speaking to BBC Urdu said: ‘They [the accused men] said that we ate cow meat and that is why we were being disgraced [raped]. They even threatened to kill me and my family if we ever told anybody what happened to us.”
The incident which happened in Mewat, northern state of Harvana where the Indian Hindu were forbidden to slaughter and eat cows.
