A woman in Saudi Arabia is facing the possibility of jail term after she uploaded a video to the internet of her husband groping their female maid.
In the video, the maid could be seen carrying some utensils which filled her hands while the man tries to kiss her before appearing to touch her crotch. The maid however reclines from the touch.
But the woman has landed herself in trouble for uploading the short video, as she now faces a fine of 500,000 Saudi Riyal ($133,000) or a year in jail, for “defaming” her husband.
According to Saudi lawyer Majid Qaroob, the law on “information technology crimes” provides for “stiff punishment” for anyone who tries to defame others using various devices, including smartphones with cameras, Emirates 24/7.
