Woman rescued after 6 days in collapsed building in Nairobi

A few days ago it was reported that an infant had made it out if the building which collapsed almost a week ago in the Huruma area of Nairobi.

The infant had been unharmed and had only suffered from dehydration.

Now according to the BBC, a woman has also been rescued after 6 days in the rubble.

Rescuers were able to get her out to much cheering and applause as she was taken away.

The woman was said to have been in good spirits as she communicated with rescuers while they worked to get her out.

The building collapsed under heavy rains killing 33 people with over 80 others still unaccounted for.

City officials claim that the building had already been earmarked for demolition before the unfortunate incident.
