A Texas woman gunned down a carjacker after the latter tried to drive off with her car which had her two kids still inside.
The woman, Michelle Booker-Hicks, was paying for her petrol when she saw the carjacker get into her car which still had her 2 four-year-old sons inside.
Michelle hurriedly jumped into the front seat and shouted at him to stop, but the carjacker ignored her and kept going.
She then hurriedly grabbed her gun from the glove box and shot the attacker in the face
The bullet hit beneath his right eye and the car crashed into a fence.
The man was arrested and was taken to the hospital and while he is in a critical state, he is also reported to be stable.
‘I wasn’t necessarily worried about my car,’ she said. ‘I was more worried about my kids.’ said Michelle when asked about the incident.
She was also quick to add that she didn’t shoot with the intention to kill, rather she just wanted him to stop.
‘I’m not a killer or anything, but I do believe in defending what’s mine,’ she said. ‘I hope that woke him up.’ she added
While Michelle didn’t have permission to carry her weapon, she was still allowed to have the gun in the car. She isn’t facing charges
