Woman who poured Hot peppery water on Husband’s privates charged with attempted Murder

Ngozi O. a 31-year-old woman who allegedly poured hot water mixed with pepper on her husband’s private part has been charged with attempted Murder.

She appeared in an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Thursday, October 5.

She was charged with attempted murder after which she pleaded not guilty.

The Prosecutor, Sergeant Kehinde Omisakin, said Ngozi committed the offence on October 1 at 3 A.M at a residence in Ebute Meta.

In an attempt to Murder her husband, she emptied a pot of hot water and pepper on Mr Igwe O’s private part following an argument.

The Offence is punishable with life imprisonment, contravening section 230 (b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

In his ruling, Chief Magistrate Tajudeen Elias admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.

Elias said the surety must show proof of tax payment in the last three years to the state government.

He adjourned the case until October 16 for mention.
