A new study has found that ‘women are either bisexual or gay but never straight’ in their sexual orientation.

The study which was conducted on 345 women in the UK found that women who regard themselves as heterosexual are turned on by naked videos of both men and women, despite saying that they were only interested in men.

The lesbians however did not show any response to men but reacted to women.

Researchers at the University of Essex in the UK, led by Dr Gerulf Rieger, found that the lesbians reacted like men, in that only men distinct show sexual responses to their favourite sex.

Dr Rieger noted: “Even though the majority of women identify as straight, our research clearly demonstrates that when it comes to what turns them on, they are either bisexual or gay, but never straight.”

He said that lesbians who dress like men (tom boys) may not necessary have more masculine behaviour.

“Although some lesbians were more masculine in their sexual arousal, and others were more masculine in their behaviours, there was no indication that these were the same women.

“This shows us that how women appear in public does not mean that we know anything about their sexual role preferences,” he stressed.
