The world is in awe of People’s Sexiest Man Alive 2018, Idris Elba, going by various reactions on social media.
The British actor, 46, is the 33rd man and the third man of colour to be so named by the American celebrity magazine.
Other previous winners of the coveted title are: Mel Gibson, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and David Beckham.
Elba was the lead actor in Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom about the legendary anti-Apartheid leader, Nelson Mandela.
Reacting to his win, Elba said, “I was like, ‘Come on, no way. Really?’ Looked in the mirror, I checked myself out.
“I was like, ‘Yeah, you are kind of sexy today’. But to be honest, it was just a nice feeling. It was a nice surprise – an ego boost for sure.”
