American international music superstar Taylor Swift, on Wednesday paid a surprise visit to a Brisbane children hospital, giving a much needed morale boost to its very sick patients.
It is believed that Swift, the world’s highest paid celebrity, meant to keep the visit low key as the press and many of the hospital’s staff were not privy to the visit.
Swift hanged out on Australia’s Gold Coast, while her boyfriend Tom Hiddleston films the latest installment to the Thor franchise.
The hospital wrote appreciative words on Face book, expressing delight for the august visit.
“Thank you Taylor Swift for dropping by the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital to give our patients and families a special surprise they will never forget.
“They will never ‘shake off’ the memories you made.’’
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the veteran singer emerged top of this year’s Forbes list of the world’s 100 highest paid celebrities recently released, earning 170 million Dollars.
According to Forbes, the world’s 100 highest-paid celebrities pulled in 5.1 billion Dollars pre-tax over the past 12 months, more than the GDP of Belize, Gambia and Bhutan combined.
