The Edo State Police Command says it is on the trail of an alleged internet fraudster identified simply as Osas for suspected ritual killing of his girlfriend, Elohor Oniorosa.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Bello Kontongs, the victim’s father, William Oniorosa reported the killing on Monday.
He said that the police have commenced investigation aimed at arresting the suspect.
The incident occurred on Christmas eve at the Egor axis of Benin, the Edo state capital, shortly after Osas returned from Ghana.
