Yobe State Commissioner for Youth and Sport, Hon. Goni Bukar Lawan aka BUGON has died in an auto crash along the Damaturu-Kano Road.
Goni Bukar, who is a former Member of the House of Representatives, died on Tuesday night.
He was said to be heading to Kano after attending a Tuesday evening funeral at Damaturu when the incident occurred.
The Herald learnt that the remains of the commissioner were evacuated back to Damaturu same night.
Survived by two wives and children, Goni Bukar will be buried according to Islamic rites on Wednesday.
