Yobe Deputy Governor’s Car Crashes

Just when the nation was still struggling to come to terms with the death, in an auto crash on Sunday, of Minister of State for Labour, James Ocholi, his wife and son, another tragedy was averted when the car conveying the Deputy Governor of Yobe State, Abubakar Ali, was involved in a road accident.

It was gathered that the crash occurred on Monday morning in Daka-Tsalle town, along Kaduna-Kano expressway.

Reports say the Toyota Avensis SUV conveying the deputy governor did not somersault like the minister’s but was badly damaged.

Also, it was gathered that some of the occupants of the vehicle sustained various degree of injuries.

However, the deputy governor’s convey continued its journey to Kano, where Ali was reportedly going on a condolence visit to the State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, whose mother was recently buried, Premium Times reported.

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) is yet to issue any statement on the crash.
