“We are soon commencing on the quarter’s project and all other facilities will also be provided,” the governor said.

He noted that such a gesture would go a long way in addressing the problem faced in the region.

“This is quite reassuring and a clear sign that the madness called insurgency is coming to an end very soon,” Buni said.

He commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his support and the military for their efforts.

In his remarks, Abubakar commended the governor for being supportive of the military.

“I am very excited that Buni has been supportive to the air force and provided an additional land area where we are putting certain facilities that will add lots of value to what we are doing,” he said.

The CAS also expressed confidence to address insecurity in the state with the facilities in place.

”I am very confident with what we have. It is going to be much easier for the air force to respond to any threats within Yobe rather than going to Maiduguri and coming back.

“We can now operate from Damaturu which is very exciting for us indeed and to our comrades that are fighting on land as well,” Abubakar added.
