Yoruba kings meet in Benin Republic over Igboho’s case

The travails of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Igboho have attracted the attention of kings of Yoruba origin in Benin Republic.

Igboho is currently detained in the neighbouring West African nation after his arrest last Monday while trying to fly to Germany.

The Nigerian government is fighting for him to be extradited to the country, where he has been declared wanted by the Department of State Services (DSS).

But the kings are currently meeting in Adjohoun, about 60 kilometres off Cotonou over his matter, TheCable reported Sunday.

The meeting is reportedly at the instance of the Alajohoun of Adjohoun and is holding in his palace.

According to the report, the kings believe Igboho to be their brother that needs their help.
