“You Can Leave Nigeria If You Have Another Country To Go” -Buhari Tells Niger Delta Leaders

The President, Muhammadu Buhari has on Tuesday said that any Nigerian citizen is free to relocate to another country of their own choosing.

The president further noted that he will stay back in the country to face the challenges plaguing the nation squarely.

The President’s stand is contained in a statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the President, Garba Shehu.

The statement quoted Buhari during a meeting with the Niger Delta leaders at the Presidential Villa, Abuja to have said: “We are determined to make life comfortable and affordable to all Nigerians. If anybody has a country to go to, let him go, we will stay here and salvage our country.”

According to the statement, the president during the meeting urged and tasked the Niger delta leaders with the job of restoring peace to the land as he noted that they play a major and important role in the achievement of the goal of the meeting.

Buhari further expressed his readiness to stay focused on security, fight against corruption an job creations in the country as part of his campaign promises.
