The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee LPPC on Friday, approved the appointment of 17 legal practitioners into the prestigious club of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN), for the year 2013.
The Secretary of the Committee, Sunday Olorundahunsi, who is also the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, said out of the 44 legal practitioners screened, 16 lawyers and one academic were successful.
Those who made the list are: Adele Eberechi, Olumide Sofowora, Olufunke Aboyade, Uko Udom, Anthony Ani, Godwin Obla, Suraj Sa’eda, Anthony Anaenugwu and Joe Abrahams.
Others are Akinlolu Kehinde, Biriyai Dambo, Chukwuma-Machukwu Eme, Olalekan Yusuf, Moyosore Onigbanjo, Aliyu Abdullahi and Victoria Awomolo.
The only academic who made the list is Professor Lawrence Atsegbua of the Faculty of Law,University of Benin.
