Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has said that his administration is set to organise an investment forum to attract more foreign direct investments to the state and also create more employment opportunities in the state.
Wike said this on Tuesday when he paid an investment promotion visit to the facilities of Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals Company to inspect the company’s on-going fertiliser plant.
Wike said “We are going to organise an investment forum to attract more foreign direct investments to the state. At that forum, we shall showcase the success story of Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals, which we believe, will further convince people that the state is an investor’s haven.
“We are committed to creating employment opportunities for our people and the rebuilding of the state economy.”
He explained that the company will generate more revenue for the state.
The Managing Director of Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals, Mr. Manish Mundra added that the company was a major foreign direct investment to boost the economy of Nigeria and the state.
