Alhaji Ganiyu Galadima, the presidential candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria in the April 2015 presidential election, has been abducted in the Obajana area of Kogi State, where supplementary polls are scheduled to be conducted in 91 polling units on Saturday.

Galadima was on his way to Ilorin in Kwara State for the burial ceremony of his elder brother when he was picked up by his abductors in Osaro, just after Obajana.

He is also the National Chairman of his party, which he came back to lead after losing the presidential election.

Confirming the abduction, the National Chairman of the Progressives Peoples Alliance, PPA, Chief Peter Ameh, told Vanguard that Galadima was coming from Abuja when the incident happened.

Ameh said the abductors had already contacted the man’s family and demanded for a ransom fee of N40 million.
