The controversial case of Afolabi Akanni, the Ekiti Lawmaker who has been in detention at the Department of State Services facilities, was released Tuesday evening.
It is gathered that Akanni was immediately admitted into a private hospital in Abuja.
He said “I am not well. I am sick. I am sick,”
He said he was treated for malaria at the DSS detention facility after he collapsed twice. It is believed his release may not be unconnected with his deteriorating health, adding that he was not told why he was held.
No word on what will follow after he recovers from his illness.
