Militants Shift Base, Attack Pipeline Outside Niger Delta

Suspected Niger Delta militants have raided the Ogijo area of the state weeks after an attack was carried out on the innocent residents of some parts of the state.

The recent attack was however carried out on the pipeline in PZ Estate of the community.

According to members of the community, the pipeline blow up occurred late on Tuesday.

The attack marks the first strike by the militants on South-western pipeline under the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

The attack was reported to have been carried out by suspects who posed as maintenance officials of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
