Michael Moyo an 83-year-old grandfather has claimed that his 12-year-old granddaughter wanted him to have sex with her.
Michael Moyo from Mabvuku who is on trial for raping his 12-year-old granddaughter, has admitted to the charges, but claims it is not his fault.
“It happened on three different occasions when my wife was not at home. The complainant first sneaked into my blankets and demanded that I have sex with her, saying she was also my wife.
“On another occasion, she took my hand and tucked it into her panties while I was lying on my bed.
“The following morning, she came and sat on top of me before she again demanded to have sex with me.”
The grandfather who claims he is impotent states that he only complied because of how dejected his granddaughter felt after he shunned her requests.
Ephraim Zinyandu the prosecutor said that they were first aware of the situation when the victim confided in one of the tenants of the prosecutor, telling them that Moyo usually raped her when her grandmother was away.
Moyo is facing three rape charges, he had apparently slept with all his granddaughters before he raped her.
Once the situation was revealed a camera was installed in Moyo’s bedroom and caught Moyo in the act.
