Despite Shooting Blanks, Cristiano Ronaldo Breaks Another Champions League Record

1 Min Read

Cristiano Ronaldo is a serial record breaker and his phenomenal form on the record-breaking front has continued with another Champions League record to his name.

This came despite not finding the target against Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Semi-final clash. Ronaldo still sits on top of the scorers chart with 15 goals followed by Mo Salah who has 10.

With Real Madrid’s win yesterday, Ronaldo has now surpassed Iker Casillas in the Champions League games won category.

Cristiano Ronaldo now has 96 wins in the Champions League, more than any other player.

Bayern Munich had opened the scoring through Kimmich before goals from Marcelo and Marco Asensio settled the tie and gave Madrid a 2 away goal advantage over the Bavarians with the second leg set to take place at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Madrid also broke a record of their own, becoming the first team to win 150 Champions League games.

The defending champions are now on course to reach their 3rd final and possibly their third straight Champions League win which would also be another record broken.
