American rapper, Kanye West has shed light on a recent comment about black people.
In a controversial interview with TMZ, kanye west said slavery was a choice for black people.
The controversial comment sparked outrage among both his fanbase and online users, with many celebrities calling him out on the comment.
However, West decided to explain his point by tweeting in response to the public outrage.
He said,”The reason why I brought up the 400 years point is because we can’t be mentally imprisoned for another 400 years. We need free thought now. Even the statement was an example of free thought…It was just an idea.”
The musician added, “In school we need to learn how Magic Johnson built his business not always about the past. Matter Fact I’ve never even heard of a high school class that presents future ideas. When the media masses and scholar talk about what started today. Here’s a title…the overground hell road.”
Recall that Kanye West had last week lost nine million followers in ten minutes on Twitter following a slew of tweets supporting Trump.
