I will never settle with Okorocha – Deputy

Uche Madumere, the Deputy to Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, has ruled out any hope of reconciliation between them.

He also distanced himself from a purported move to reconcile them by some concerned individuals.

In a press released by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Uche Onwuchekwa, the Deputy Governor said, “The rumoured reconciliation move between him and Governor Rochas Okorocha, purportedly initiated by the governor’s family members is a mere figment of the imagination of the peddlers. There is no iota of truth in the rumour.”

Madumere had fallen out with Okorocha after the governor made known his intention to support his Chief of Staff and son-in-law Uche Nwosu for governor of the state in the 2019 gubernatorial election in the state.

The Deputy Governor said he only only got to know about the purported reconciliation through a “barrage of calls and text messages by concerned Imo citizens on the matter.”

He said “there is nothing on the table to call for such reconciliation,” and described the reconciliation as “unnecessary and uncalled for.”

He promised to vie for the governorship as earlier vowed and urged his supporters not to be hoodwinked by any purported moves for reconciliation.
