Fayose Challenges Fayemi in Court

Immediate-past Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has compared President Muhammadu Buhari to leader of Nazi Germany, Adolf Hitler.

Fayose made the comparison while reacting to Friday’s suspension of Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Walter Onnoghen.

Recall that Buhari said he suspended the CJN following a January 23 order from the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

He immediately swore in Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed from Bauchi State as the new Acting CJN.

However, Fayose described the CCT order which caused Onnoghen’s suspension as a “Black Maria order”.

He queried the justification for enforcing such order from the CCT when superior courts have issued orders that have been ignored by the Buhari administration.

Fayose, who took to his verified Twitter handle, said, “Now we have a full blown Hitler in charge of our country, acting as if he is law unto himself. But Nigerians will remember that I warned!

“A President who chose to obey a Black Market order from the CCT to illegally suspend a CJN but refused to obey Valid Court Orders on El-Zakzaky, Dasuki and others is not different from Adolf Hitler.”
