Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister of aviation and a PDP chieftain, has reacted to the statement made by the minister of works and housing, Babatunde Fashola, over the state of Nigerian roads.
The Herald earlier reported that Fashola had declared that Nigerian roads are not as bad as people paint them.
Speaking about Fashola’s statement, Fani-Kayode claimed that the minister is shallow, limited, intellectually dishonest, overrated, loyal only to his own ambition and not too bright. he PDP chieftain made this known through his official Twitter handle.

The tweets read: “I have always believed that Tunde is shallow, limited, intellectually dishonest, overrated, loyal only to his own ambition and not too bright. He also has a big chip on his shoulder. With these words he has proved it.”

Meanwhile, The Herald reported that Fashola disclosed that President Buhari will not be refunding State Governors for repairing federal roads. He said the president specifically told state governors not to fix federal roads if they will still demand a refund for compensation.
The minister made the disclosure when he made an appearance before the Federal House of Representatives’ Ad Hoc Committee on Abandoned Federal Government Road Projects from 1999 till date, on Tuesday in Abuja.
Fashola said the President was forced to issue the directive due to the exorbitant amounts being claimed by Governors as Cost for repairing Federal roads in their states.
Fashola also told the Francis Uduyok-led panel that the Ministry was handling 472 Projects at the same time, thereby over-stretching itself while noting that the never-ending demands by Lawmakers were partly responsible.
