Dauda Kahutu popularly known as Rarara, Buhari’s praise singer got N57m barely two days after he solicited funds to enable him to release another song in praise of the president.

He got this following the release of a social media video to solicit the funds.

Recall that the musician was recently attacked by some youths in Katsina, the president’s home state, while shooting a video of a song in which he hailed the president.

The singer, who was appointed as National Director of Music for the Buhari 2019 Presidential Support Committee, stressed in the social media video that getting the funds would further show that Nigerians were not suffering under the president.

Although Rarara had urged his listeners to contribute N1,000 each, Sahara Reporters reported, quoting an unnamed source, that 48 northerners donated N13.5 million to the cause.

However, the donors were not identified.
