Gunmen kidnap Delta State Monarch, two others

Gunmen have kidnapped another monarch barely three weeks after the abduction and subsequent reported death of Edward Akaeze Ofulue III, an Ubulu-Uku Monarch in Delta state.

The gunmen who were reported to have stormed HRM Isaiah Aghaza I’s palace in Olomoro Community, Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State in the early hours of Friday, heavily armed with AK47s ordered the monarch into a waiting get-away vehicle with no number plates.
The news source confirmed that the abductors who were six in number kidnapped two other unidentified persons in the community.

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Celestina Kalu confirmed the abduction of the Monarch stating that the abductors took off in a dark-green Range Rover Jeep. She further stated that efforts are being made to track down the culprits.

With the news of the latest kidnap, panic is spreading among the people of the state after the kidnap of two monarchs and six others in less than six weeks.
