Gyan Looks Forward Playing With Mikel At Al Ain

Ghana international, Asamoah Gyan has expressed keen interest to play alongside the Chelsea midfielder, John Obi Mikel.

John Obi Mikel, an integral part of the Super Eagles has not enjoyed starters action at Chelsea and has informed his interest to make a move away from the London club. Gyan who is currently holidaying in Ghana did share his expectation about the likely arrival of Chelsea’s John Obi Mikel at the Garden City club.

“I heard about Mikel’s coming this week and that he has agreed terms with Al Ain and will most definitely be playing for us next season. It’s great news for us because Mikel Obi is a very good player and very experienced. Gyan told Metro TV.

“It will be exciting to play with him in the same team, because I believe both of us, with the help of our other colleagues, can do more for the club, “Gyan stated

John Obi Mikel joined Chelsea in 2006 after he lead Nigeria’s U20 team, Flying Eagles to the 2005 FIFA U20 World Cup. He made his first start for the Blues in a UEFA Champions League match against Levski Sofia and he has gone nine years at the London club.
