Following the release of his single Somebody Great which featured revered songstress Asa, Mavin records act, Korede Bello while speaking with NET recalled how the song with Asa came about.
I’ve been a fan of Asa even before I started music, her album was the first I ever bought with my money and I remember years ago, in all interviews I did I always said I’ll love to work with Asa, so fortunately for me, we met at an event, we talked and invited her to the studio, we played her a couple of songs and she likes this one, so we asked if she could jump on it and that’s it’.
Going further, the curly haired musician revealed his plans for the future.
‘Yea there’s a plan to shoot a video for ‘Somebody Great’, more singles and videos will follow, more surprises as well’.
Asked if he’ll be releasing an album anytime soon, he said: ‘we record all the time at the studio and I can tell you that I have enough material to make up two or three albums right now, but I personally don’t feel the time is ripe, I think I need a couple more videos, more music and all, I’m not ready for an album yet.’
