In the light of the recent spate of deaths and suicide in Kogi state over the non-payment of salaries for civil servants, Senator Dino Melaye has pleaded with his fellow colleagues to salvage the situation and help the people out.
Recall that the director in the state civil service, Edward Soje, who was owed 11 months salary and recently committed suicide after his wife of 17 years welcomed a set of male triplets.
There was another viral video that went round showing another civil servant weeping over the loss of his child after he was unable to pay the crippling hospital bills necessary to save the child.
Melaye asked for the President to intervene in the matter and also the other Senators.
