PHOTOS: Protests In Borno Over Ali Ndume’s Suspension By The Senate

The residents of Biu, Borno state on Thursday came out in droves to protest the suspension of Senator Ali Ndume by the Senate.

In what will be termed as a ‘reactionary protest’ to the latest happenings in the Senate, residents of the town of Biu in Borno came out to protest the suspension of the former Majority leader Senator Ali Ndume of the Borno South senatorial district.

Ali Ndume was suspended for six months by the Senate committee on ethics and privileges headed by Senator Anyanwu, for calling for a probe into the allegations of imported bullet proof range rover with fake documents involving Senate President Bukola Saraki seized by the customs and that of perjury involving Senator Dino Melaye as regards an allegation on the authenticity of his certificate.

The protest was tagged ‘We stand with Senator Ali Ndume’ and were composed primarily of the residents of the town.
