Saraki And Ekweremadu’s Forgery Case Takes Surprising Twist

The forgery case against Senate President, Bukola Saraki and his Deputy, Ike Ekweremadu brought before an Abuja High Court has been stalled.

Court officials have confirmed that the two presiding officers of Senate have not been properly served with the charges.

Through the office of the Attorney General, the Federal Government had filed the charges against Saraki and Ekweremadu.

Similar charges were also filed against former Clerk of the National Assembly, Alhaji Salisu Abubakar Maikasuwa and his deputy, Mr. Benedict Efeturi.

Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu has absolved himself of the allegations that includes forging senate rules to pave way for the emergence of Bukola Saraki as Senate president.

Ekweremadu, who spoke through a statement, also said he had not received any police invitation for questioning over the matter.
