World Igbo Cultural Day Holds Today

The 2014 World Igbo Cultural Day is set to hold today at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan at 12 Noon Prompt.

The event organised by CEOAFRICA and sponsored by Nigerian Breweries, will witness the conferment of chieftaincy titles on deserving personalities.

Expected at the event are Igbo groups from all over the Federation, Germany, US, UK, France and South Africa, and also friends and well-wishers of Ndigbo.

The Guest Royal Father of the Occasion is His Royal Majesty, Eze Cletus Ilomuanya, Chairman South-East Council of Traditional Rulers while the host royal father is His Imperial Majesty, Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade 1.

Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, is the royal father of the day.

A popular musician, J. Martins is expected to grace the Occasion.

The event will also witness lots of activities such as beauty pageant, wrestling, masquerade parade, cultural dances among others.
