Presenting the bags of rice to the recipients, Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors, Malam Sulaiman Yahaya, said his company was moved by their plight.

He prayed for peace to return to the IDPs’ home states, so that they could return and settle down to meaningful development.

“By the special grace of God, peace will return to the region and you will have a new beginning,” Yahaya stated.

He equally said that the company would soon launch a housing scheme geared towards providing shelter for the IDPs at an affordable rate.

In his response, the Gombe State Secretary of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Malam Abubakar Yahaya, expressed the society’s appreciation of the kind gesture, while calling on other well-meaning Nigerians to follow suit.
