Nigerian singer 1Da Banton shed light on his musical contributions behind the scenes during a recent appearance on the Afrobeats Podcast hosted by Adesope.
Fans may know 1Da Banton for his own hit song “No Wahala,” but the episode revealed his talent extends to songwriting and production.
Banton credited himself with writing Davido’s popular track “No Competition” featuring Asake. He also revealed his production work on another Davido song, “Na Money,” featuring Angelique Kidjo and The Cavemen.
The conversation didn’t stop there. 1Da Banton also shared a surprising source of inspiration for his musical journey: his sister’s ex-boyfriend, popular skit maker and singer Nasboi.
